Grade 1 Arkansas DerbyDanza is a name who will always be remembered for his association with Eclipse. Unearthed as a yearling for just $105,000, Eclipse developed Danza into a Graded Stakes performer at age 2 in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special and the strapping son of Street Boss went on to blitz his rivals in the Grade 1, $1 million Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park before providing his partners and fans with the ultimate thrill with an extraordinary showing when 3rd in the Kentucky Derby. Sadly, injury prevented Danza from ever competing again on the racetrack, but the talented colt retired with over $866,000 in lifetime earnings and was sold as a stallion to B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm in Kentucky.
