3rd in Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies TurfSweet Cat can be credited for setting the tone for Eclipse’s top tier aspirations when she turned in a huge 3rd-place performance in the 2011 running of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Churchill Downs. A private acquisition off a 5 1/2-furlong Maiden Special Weight win on the sod at Saratoga in the summer of her 2 year-old season, Eclipse and trainer Todd Pletcher developed this classy daughter of Kitten’s Joy into a multiple-Graded and Listed performer. Sweet Cat was sold for $300,000 at Keeneland November of her 3 year-old year and has already produced a winner by Hard Spun.
