Grade 1 King’s BishopCapo Bastone was part of Eclipse’s initial 2 year-old in-training draft classes and he’d carry that banner with the utmost pride, being named a TDN Rising Star in a scintillating debut performance as a freshman at Del Mar. Capo Bastone would go on to place in several Grade 1 events as a 2 year-old, including the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita. Transferred into the care of Todd Pletcher for his sophomore campaign, Capo Bastone delivered a Grade 1 glory thrill when storming home from dead-last to prevail in the prestigious Grade 1, $500,000 King’s Bishop at Saratoga. Capo Bastone raced 17 times for Eclipse, accumulating in excess of $731,000 in purses. After initially beginning his stallion career at the famed Adena Springs in Kentucky, he currently stands at O’Sullivan Farms in West Virginia.
